On 20th January 2022, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, along with Mr. Soradjak Puranasamriddhi, Consul-General of Thailand in Jeddah paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the OIC headquarter in Jeddah. 

On this occasion, the Thai side congratulated Secretary-General on his assumption to the duty in November last year. Both sides also discussed the cooperation between Thailand and OIC in various fields such as humanitarian relief, development cooperation, halal affairs, education and a visit of the Secretary-General to Thailand in the future.
