🔹️ On 11 November 2024, Mr. Adisorn Sittikarn, Acting Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Jeddah, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Fareed Saad Al-Sheri, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Makkah Branch, to congratulate Director-General on assuming his duty in the office and to discuss about how to strengthen Thai - Saudi relations and promote cooperation between the two Kingdoms.

🔹️ Acting Consul-General expressed sincere appreciation to the Saudi side for coordinating with the Consulate-General and facilitating its works, assisting the Thai pilgrims during Hajj season and granting full scholarships to Thai students to study in Saudi universities.

🔹️ Both sides were, also, of the view that collaborations between the two Kingdoms have significantly expanded following the normalisation of the Thai - Saudi diplomatic relations on 25 January 2022, including trade and investment, people-to-people and tourism. By that reason, in addition to weekly direct flights from Bangkok to Riyadh and Bangkok to Jeddah, Saudia Airlines schedules to operate the weekly direct flights from Phuket to Riyadh and Phuket to Jeddah starting from 2 December 2024.

🔹️ Director-General affirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Consulate-General and the Thai side to enhance bilateral relations between the two Kingdoms, and conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the Royal Thai Government and Thai people.
