The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Jeddah is delighted and proud to be part of Thailand military and civilian teams from Bangkok, Cairo, Khartoum and Riyadh in evacuating 215 Thai nationals from the civil war in Sudan who have already arrived in Jeddah and travelled back to Thailand safely.

Over the past week, government officials and staffs of the Consulate General have supported the missions of Team Thailand in many areas, such as coordination for ground handling for the Royal Thai Air Force's Airbus A340-500 and C-130 aircraft; arrangement of transportation, accommodation and meals in Jeddah for almost a hundred of crews and officers who traveled to Jeddah to conduct the missions; preparation for food and survival bags to evacuees; issuances of emergency travel documents for those who lost the document during their tough journey; coordination at King Abdullah Air Base, King Faisal Naval Base, Jeddah Islamic Port and the hotel for evacuees; liaison with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Makkah Al Mukarramah Region; and an arrangement for accommodation for the last batch of evacuees.

On this occasion, the Consulate General thanks all sectors of Thailand Team who together carried out the mission successfully. Most importantly, the Consulate General expresses its deepest gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the evacuation of foreigners including Thais out of Sudan both by air and sea to Jeddah which is the success factor in this important mission.
