On 14 February 2023, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Jeddah organized a Thai food cooking demonstration workshop for the Chefs from Lulu Hypermarket Al Madinah Rd. branch

in order to promote authentic Thai cuisine and boost the exports of Thai products during “Thailand Halal Food Festival in 2023” week held at the branch and provided some tips and advices in Thai food cooking while having tasted ready-to-eat Thai dishes prepared by Lulu’s chefs

 

In the aforementioned workshop, Mrs. Mattana Nutakul, Spouse of the Consul-General, led the resident chef at the Royal Thai Consulate-General to demonstrate the making of Thai well-known dishes, “Tom Yum Koong Nam Khon” or Thai spicy creamy soup with shrimps and “Kaeng Dang Nhor Mai Gai” or Thai chicken red curry with bamboo shoot. Moreover, the team also recommended some tips on how to prepare and manage certain Thai ingredients, food pairing and plate decoration. Thai ingredients are now available in most of the lead supermarkets in Jeddah.
