Non – Immigrant Visa

Mass Media (M)

  1. Requirement: This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to work as a journalist, reporter and to work as part of a film production team. 
  2. Validity of visa: The validity of a visa is 3 months (single entry) or 1 year (multiple entry)
  3. Period of stay: not exceeding 90 days
  4. Required Document:

4.1 Passport or travel document (with one copy) with validity not less than 6 months. The validity of 18 months is required for one year visa application.

4.2 One duly filled application form

4.3 One colour photographs (3.5x4.5 cm.) taken within the last 6 months

4.4 A copy of ID Card or Family Card (for Saudi citizen) or a copy of Residence Identity Card (for non-Saudi citizen)

4.5 A copy of Exit Re-entry visa (for non-Saudi citizen)

4.6 Evidence of traveling (a copy of confirmed air ticket)

4.7 Evidence of accommodation in Thailand

4.8 Evidence of adequate finance, i.e., bank statement (5,000 SAR per person and 10,000 SAR per family)

4.9 For journalist or reporter: Letter of Approval from Press Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. To obtain this letter, applicant must send the following documents to the Press Division;

(1) An official letter from the applicant’s news agency introducing the journalist to the Director General of the Information Department and to confirm the appointment of the journalist to work in Thailand

(2) The applicant’s resume

(3) Detail of background, circulation, list of owner and editors of the publication.  

4.10 Working as part of a film production team: Letter of Approval from Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Thailand. Please contact the Ministry for more information.

NOTE: Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary.

  1. Visa Processing Fee: 300 SAR for single entry and 750 SAR for multiple entry (non-refundable)
