Non-Immigrant Visa
Long Stay (O-A)

  1. Requirement: This type of visa shall be issued to applicants aged 50 years old or above who wish to stay in Thailand for a long term period of not exceeding 1 year. Working in Thailand is strictly prohibited for this type of visa.
  2. Validity of visa: 1 year (multiple entry)
  3. Period of stay: not exceeding 1 year from the date of the first entry
  4. Eligibility to apply for the visa at the Royal Thai Consulate General in Jeddah
    • Aged 50 years old or above (on the day of submitting the application).
    • Not prohibited from entering Thailand.
    • Having no criminal record in Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
    • Not having prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Drug addiction, Elephantiasis, Third phase of Syphilis)
  5. Required Documents
    • A passport (with one copy) valid for at least 18 months
    • Three duly filled application forms
    • Three colour photographs (3.5x4.5 cm.) taken within the last six 6 months
    • A copy of ID Card or Family Card (for Saudi citizen) or a copy of Residence Identity Card (for non-Saudi citizen)
    • A copy of Exit Re-entry (for non-Saudi citizen)
    • A personal information form (see the attachment)
    • A copy of bank statement showing a deposit of the amount equal to and no less than 100,000 SAR or an income certificate (original copy) with a monthly income of no less than 8,125 SAR or a bank statement plus an income certificate totaling no less than 100,000 SAR (In case of submitting a copy of bank statement, an original bank certificate is required.)
    • Original copy of criminal record (issued for no more than 3 months). The document must be translated into English language and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia
    • A medical certificate, showing no prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Drug addiction, Elephantiasis, Third phase of Syphilis) (issued for no more than 3 months) The document must be translated into English language and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.
    • The applicant must be medically insured for the entire period of stay in Thailand with outpatient benefit of no less than 5,000 SAR, and inpatient benefit of no less than 50,000 SAR. The applicants must submit Health Insurance Policy Document issued by a Thai or foreign insurance company. In case of a foreign insurance company, the applicant must submit the original insurance policy document with 1 copy. In case of a Thai insurance company, the applicant must submit 1 copy of the insurance policy document or, if available, the original insurance policy document with 1 copy.     • The applicant must be medically insured for common diseases, including the treatment of Covid-19 with the benefit of no less than 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB
  6. Visa Processing Fee: 750 SAR (Non-Refundable)

Note:   (1) Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary.
          (2) In the case where the accompanying spouse is not eligible for the Category ‘O-A’ (Long Stay) visa, he or she will be considered for temporary stay under Category ‘O’ visa. A marriage certificate must be provided as evidence and must be legalized.

  1. Recommendations for foreigners with Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A” (Long Stay) while staying in Thailand.

3.1 Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of the first entry.

3.2 At the end of the first 90-day stay, holder of the visa must report to the Thai immigration officer in his or her residential area and report again every 90 days during his or her stay in Thailand. Visa holder may report to the nearest police station if there is no immigration office in his or her residential area.

3.3 Foreigner may report to the competent authority by post and should provide the following:

(a) A report form (Tor Mor 47)

- A copy of passport pages showing the foreigner’s photo, personal details, and the latest arrival visa stamp.

- A copy of the previous receipt of acknowledgement issued by the Immigration.

(b) A self-addressed envelope with postage affixed.

Such documents must be sent to the Immigration Division 1, 120 Moo 3, Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210 and must be submitted 7 days before the end of every 90-day period. A receipt of acknowledgement will be given and should be used for future correspondence
