A reception in Jeddah on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand

On 5th December 2022, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Jeddah hosted a reception on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jeddah.

Representing the Saudi Arabian Government, Mr. Ibrahim Mohammad Al Subhi, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Makkah Al Mukarramah Region, presided over the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. The reception was also attended by more than 150 attendees including Ambassadors, Consuls General and representatives of International Organizations accredited in Jeddah as well as entrepreneurs and media representatives.

Mr. Kitinai Nutakul, Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand to Jeddah delivered a speech appreciating the self-dedication of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great which has brought forth the well-being of Thai people at large and reiterating the readiness of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Jeddah to work with all the stakeholders to enhance the bilateral relations between Thailand and Saudi Arabia after a historic diplomatic normalization last January.

This year’s reception was featured by a biography exhibition of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, a fruit and vegetable carving demonstration and a serving of Thai authentic dishes such as “Tom Yum Goong” and “Pad Thai”.
