Consul-General of Thailand to Jeddah paid an introductory call on Director-General for Political Affairs of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)

On November 29, 2022, Mr. Kitinai Nutkul, Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand to Jeddah paid an introductory call on Ambassador Mohamed Salah Tekaya, Director-General for Political Affairs, and Mr. El Habib Bourane, Director of Muslim Communities & Minorities of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah on the occasion of the assumption to the duty of the Consul-General.

The Director-General expressed the OIC's readiness to promote bilateral relations in various fields with Thailand, which has a special status as an observer to the OIC. He also commended the Thai government for its continuous promotion of constructive engagement with the OIC. As a response, the Consulate-General reaffirmed a commitment of the Thai government to further strengthen the cooperation between the two sides.
