Director of Phyathai Nawamin Hospital visited the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Jeddah

On November 29, 2022, Capt. (Ret.) Dr. Yongyuth Mayalarp, ​​Director of Phayathai Nawamin Hospital, who is visiting Saudi Arabia with his team members, met with Mr. Kitinai Nutakul, Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand to Jeddah to discuss on promotion of Thai medical services and to explore ways and means to encourage Saudi nationals to travel to Thailand for medical treatment. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Apichat Prasertsud, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Jeddah along with officials of the Consulate-General.

On this occasion, Consul-General gave a briefing on the current Saudi healthcare system and consumer behavior which poses a great chance for Thai private sector to attract more customers from Saudi Arabia, especially in the field of medical tourism. Consul-General also reaffirms his readiness to support Thai private sectors to expand their business into Saudi Arabia after the economic doors between the two Kingdoms were reopened again as a result of the normalisation of diplomatic relations last January.
