On 6 - 11 November 2025, Lieutenant Banpoth Ujiin, Consul-General, welcomed Mr. Santithorn Yimlamai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Interior and Head of the Thai Hajj Delegation, participating in the 5th Hajj Conference and Exhibition 2025 at Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a view to preparing facilitation of Thai pilgrims’ participation in the Hajj Pilgrimage in 2026, corresponding to the Hijri year 1447.

          On this occasion, Consul-General, together with officials from the Royal Thai-Consulate in Jeddah, engaged in preparatory meetings with Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Interior and his delegation, which are related to the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage for Thai pilgrims. The meetings included consultations with senior Saudi officials and local private entities monitored by the Royal Saudi Government to manage Hajj-related affairs, which also included the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the preparatory management for the Hajj Pilgrimage of Thai pilgrims in 2026. The MoU is aimed at ensuring that Thai pilgrims’ journeys are conducted with efficiency, convenience, safety and cost-effectiveness.

          Aside from that, the Royal Thai Consulate-General held a meeting with the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and his delegation to conclude the outcomes of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 2025’s participation, as well as to discuss Thailand’s Hajj preparatory arrangement by the Royal Thai Consulate-General and Thai relevant authorities so as to bring about the utmost integration and efficiency. The Royal Thai Consulate-General reaffirms its commitment to coordinating with concerned Thai authorities and the Hajj Promotion Committee of Thailand to foster Hajj-related matters.
