On 15 September 2025, Mr. Banpoth Ujjin, Consul-General of Thailand in Jeddah, received the Exequatur for his appointment as Consul-General of Thailand in Jeddah from Mr. Fareed bin Saad Alsheri, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Makkah Al-Mukarramah Branch) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Makkah Branch) in Jeddah.

On this occasion, the Director-General paid his subject to congratulate the Consul-General on assumption of his duty as Consul-General in Jeddah and reaffirmed his responsibility to cooperate with the Consul-General to strengthen cooperation between Thailand and Saudi Arabia. The Consul-General, therefore, expressed his appreciation to the Saudi side for extending their kind cooperation and hospitality to the Thai side particularly through the local Thai community in the jurisdiction of consular areas.

In this respect, the Consul-General had submitted the Letter of Commission to Mr. Ahmed Qutb, Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia, on 24 July 2025, beginning officially assuming his duty onwards.
